Swimming Levels

 

Aqua Tots:

 

 

 Ages - Must be 2 yrs. minimum & no older than 4.  A Parent or adult is needed in water for each child.

 Emphasis on water adaptation.

 

Preschool:

 

 Ages 3-4. Must be comfortable in the water without a parent.

 

Level 1:

 

 (Pre-Beg) Ages 4 & 5, basic skills taught.  Face in water, floating, basic stroke skills.

 

Level 2:

 

 Needs to submerge head & face in water.

 

Level 3:

 

 Float on front & back for 5 seconds, swim 15 ft. on front & back, and open eyes under water.

 

Level 4:

 

  (Adv. Beg) Front  & back crawl for width of pool.  Elementary backstroke, dolphin kick, breast stroke

  and kneeling dive.

 

Level 5:

 

 (Inter) Front & back crawl for length of pool. Sidestroke, breast stroke, standing dive. Elementary

 backstroke and butterfly.

 

Level 6:

 

 No further work needed on any of the strokes.

Special Needs students must have a parent / guardian in the water with them for all swim activities

 

Spring Swim Session ends June 6 (No class May 23)

If your class is not listed on the Registration page, it is full and closed.

Creasey Bicentennial Park SPLASH PAD     

 

Splash Pad season is the beginning of June to late September from 11am-6pm daily!

You may always visit this webpage as information is updated regularly.

Operating hours and prices are subject to change.

 

Normal operating hours are 11am - 6pm daily (weather permitting).  If weather conditions allow, the Splash Pad may be opened earlier in the day.  It is at the discretion of our park maintenance crew.  For days when there is not an attendant at the Splash Pad, you are welcome to still use it free of charge.  The water feature may be activated by pressing the button on the top of the activation post.  Please contact our office if you encounter any mechanical issues: (810) 694-0101.

 

Price for using the Splash Pad is:  $2 per person Resident fee / $3 per person Non-resident fee.  The Splash Pad cannot be reserved for events or groups but if you plan to bring a large group of children, we ask that you notify our office ahead of time so that we can make sure no other group(s) are scheduled the same day.  The Splash Pad has a capacity of 45 participants at one time.  Wrist bands are available for purchase ahead of time through our office for groups or at the park for individuals.
